Feeling The Love

Dear East Tampa Christian Church family,

We’d just like to say thank you and express our appreciation for your prayers, support, and love for the Lord’s work through S.A.L.T. Ministries, Inc. Thank you for being our partners in sharing God’s amazing light in Thailand. Amidst all that is happening in the world, the Lord’s work continues, and we ask for His strength, joy, and peace upon us and upon all at East Tampa Christian Church as we carry out His calling together.

We thank and praise the Lord for you always. Thank you so much.May God continue to bless you abundantly as you bless others with your generous hearts. Have a wonderful day!

Serving with you,

Virgilio, Esther, and Hannah de los Santos

In A World Of Hate

When Paul wrote to the Galatians, he was alarmed that bad influences were causing them to lose their love for one another (Galatians 5:13through6:1-10). They were exhibiting more “works of the flesh”than the “fruit of the Spirit.”Today, the influences toward hatred and selfishness are even worse.

Paul wrote that “in the last days, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves … without natural affection … lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.”(2 Timothy 3:1-4, KJV).

And Jesus, foretelling conditions in the end time, said “because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold”(Matthew 24:12, NKJV).

All around us we see indifference, resentment, anger, abuse and even cruelty. There is more loneliness and heartbreak in the world than real love. But the return of Jesus Christ will bring about the fulfillment of this prophecy of Ezekiel 36:26(NIV): “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” –that is, a soft, yielding heart instead of a hard, stubborn heart.

In the meantime, we can swim upstream against the world’s influence. With God’s Spirit, each of us can be a light of love in the midst of the darkness.

Fruits Of The Spirit

For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
